We are a group of equestrians, men and women, who have made it their mission to promote awareness of this devastating disease.
Four years ago Hoofbeats to Hope sponsored their first Dressage Musical Freestyle Horse Show and Silent Auction to spread awareness in the equestrian community about the early signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and to further research into treatment and early detection.
Over the past 4 years some of or accomplishments have been:
- Passed out over 500 symptom cards in the equestrian community educating women about the early symptoms of ovarian cancer.
- Recruited two Ambassador Professional Dressage Riders to use our logo on saddle pads, polo shirts and banners at rated shows where they also have passed out symptom cards.
- Sponsored 3 schooling shows and stuffed rider packets with statistical information about ovarian cancer and encouraged women to “listen” to their bodies and ask their doctors questions.
Hoofbeats to Hope is dedicated to Marikae Kinross-Wright
